Qualifications

  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for the provider, including preliminary exams, medical history, and testing.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms and maintain ophthalmic instruments.
  • Assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures.
  • Record medical history and visit purpose in EMR according to standards.
  • Perform basic vision screenings and administer eye medications as directed.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and secure medical records.
