Job summary

Retina Specialists of Ohio/Corrective Eye is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists by performing initial testing and preparing patients for exams. The role requires travel to Tallmadge, Mayfield Heights, Willoughby Hills, Parma, and Streetsboro, with mileage reimbursement provided.

The technician will handle patient testing, data entry in EMR, and assist in a fast-paced clinic while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related experience or training required.
• HIPAA confidentiality and professional communication required.
• COA/COT preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient service in person or via phone.
• Greet patients professionally and assist with check-in and check-out.
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow.
• Record patient medical history and current medications.
• Document data in EMR during visits.
• Assist with patient testing and preparing for examinations.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and equipment.
