Job summary

Florida Eye Specialists in Jacksonville is seeking Ophthalmic Technicians to perform advanced clinical measurements and tests, providing physician data and supporting patient care. No prior experience is required; we are willing to train the right person and support growth.

The role requires travel to multiple clinic locations as needed. After a 90-day probation, full-time employees are eligible for benefits including a 401k and profit sharing after one year.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (preferably ophthalmology).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with patients and employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• The Ophthalmic Technician performs advanced technical ophthalmic procedures, measurements and tests to provide physician data and assist in patient care.
• This position will travel to multiple locations based on clinic needs.
