Job summary

Levenson Eye Associates is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists and clinical staff across multiple Jacksonville sites. You will perform comprehensive testing, document findings, educate patients, and help maintain a smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of ophthalmic technician experience, familiarity with imaging equipment, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced setting. Travel between locations is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years ophthalmic technician experience.
• Knowledge of basic ophthalmic examination techniques.
• Ability to perform visual acuities, tonometry, pupillary assessment, and motility testing.
• Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic imaging and ancillary testing.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient histories and ocular information.
• Perform preliminary ophthalmic testing and document results in the EMR.
• Measure visual acuities, including distance and near vision.
• Conduct tonometry and other intraocular pressure measurements.
• Perform motility testing and confrontation visual field testing.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and HIPAA compliance.
• Travel to multiple clinical sites as needed.
