Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician for our ophthalmology team in Danbury, CT. This part-time role (2 days per week: Tue & Thu) offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities to grow in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include collecting patient information, performing ophthalmic testing, administering diagnostics (OCT, perimetry, photography), assisting in minor surgeries, and ensuring efficient patient flow within clinic and imaging rooms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
