NYU Langone Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician for the Manhattan Ophthalmology department. Qualified candidates will communicate effectively across the organization and support ophthalmic testing procedures and patient education.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and several years’ ophthalmic tech experience; COA certification is preferred or in progress. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits within a renowned medical system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five or more years of Ophthalmic Technician experience in a retina practice preferred.
• COA certification from JCAHPO approved course preferred or working towards certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• All Patient Correspondence including Disability Forms, Patient Education, Surgical Consent Forms.
• Slit Lamp Examinations.
• Completes Medical History, Lensometry, Auto Refracting, Pam Testing, Glare Testing.
• Performs all aspects of visual acuity testing and Visual Field Testing.
