Job summary

A leading ophthalmology practice in New Braunfels is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join its team dedicated to fighting blindness. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patient documentation, ocular examinations, and maintaining patient flow in the clinic. Qualifications

• Ability to perform comprehensive work ups.
• Ability to educate patients regarding instillation of eye drops and other instructions.
• One to Two years’ experience as an ophthalmic assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history, including chief complaint and medications.
• Performs and documents visual acuity and tests.
• Provides compassionate patient care.
• Maintains cleanliness in exam rooms.
• Contacts patients who miss appointments to reschedule.
