Job summary

Sacramento Native American Health Center, Inc. is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician in Chico, CA. The role supports physicians, patients, and clinic staff, with travel to other locations as needed.

You will perform history taking, OCT imaging, and comprehensive EHR documentation in a fast-paced setting. Candidates should have strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills, and be able to work independently while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication.

• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients.

• Accurately document patient visits in EHR.
• Understand emergency protocols and scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain chart from office.
• Call patient back by name and verify DOB.
• Greet patients and introduce self and role.
• Complete patient history and obtain OCT images.
• Enter chief complaint and all data into EHR.
• Record medications and ensure proper logging.
• Maintain clinic flow and assist with room setup.
• Schedule and reschedule patients as needed.
• Ensure rooms are stocked and ready each morning.
