Job summary

FamilyCare Health Centers is seeking a Patient Services/Ophthalmology Technician for our South Charleston office. You will be a frontline team member handling registration, scheduling, and patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with eye exams, performing preliminary tests, and supporting MDs during procedures while ensuring patient safety and accuracy in documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• COT certification preferred or required depending on program.
• Completion of accredited ophthalmic technician program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage front desk duties with professionalism.
• Schedule appointments and update patient records accurately.
• Assist with ophthalmic tests and procedures under supervision.
• Maintain equipment and ensure infection control standards are met.
• Process disclosures and release of records to patients and facilities.
