Job summary

EyeCare Partners’ Grand Rapids Ophthalmology in Holland, MI seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists with patient care and pre-exam testing. This full-time role requires strong patient interaction, accurate EMR data entry, and the ability to travel between offices as needed.

Responsibilities include patient prep, vital signs, visual tests, and maintaining exam rooms. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401k, PTO, and maternity leave. Competitive base pay offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one year of related experience preferred.
• Current COA or COT certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong patient-care focus with HIPAA adherence and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and maintain a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Assist ophthalmologists and facilitate clinic flow during visits.
• Record patient data in EMR and verify information with accuracy.
• Perform initial testing such as visual acuity, refraction, and measurements.
• Prepare rooms, manage supplies, and support minor procedures when needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and comply with policies.
