Desert Vista Eye Specialists in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists by performing preliminary testing and ensuring high-quality patient care during visits.

You will conduct tests, document medical histories in the EMR, assist with procedures, and keep exam rooms prepared. A high school diploma and 1 year of related experience are required; COA/COT is a plus, and weekend availability is helpful.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• COA/COT certification is preferred, but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Record patient’s medical history and current medications and confirm purpose of visit.
• Record all data in the patient’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Check condition of patient’s eyes by observing pupils, muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movements.
• Prepare patients for treatments and minor procedures; measure and record vital signs.
