Job summary

Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, WI is seeking an Ophthalmic/Optometric Technician to support patient care in our Town Hall Health Center. This on-site role requires 12 months of prior ophthalmic tech experience and a high school diploma. Responsibilities include performing ocular exams, assisting providers, and ensuring efficient patient flow.

BLS certification required within 90 days; travel may be minimal to other centers. Hours: 8 am–4:30 pm; no weekends.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 12 months of prior experience as an Ophthalmic/Optometric Tech is preferred.
• EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with others on problem identification and resolution.
• LICENSURE: BLS from AHA or equivalent within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform ocular examinations and procedures, assisting the provider with patient care and department operations.
• Coordinate timely patient flow through the physician's schedule to maintain efficient care.
• Assist in educational and technical training sessions for staff as needed.
