Tukel Eye Center in Dearborn, MI is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists and optometrists with patient testing and care. You will assist during visits, operate diagnostic instruments, and document findings in the EMR while providing friendly, efficient service.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and a strong patient-focused attitude, with opportunities to learn and grow within a full-time clinic schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current COA/COT certification is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Greet patients promptly, maintain professional attitude, and assist with clinic flow.
• Record patient medical history, current medications, and purpose of visit in EMR.
• Prepare patients for exams and minor procedures; observe and report vital signs as required.
• Open/close exam rooms and keep rooms stocked and clean; uphold HIPAA policies.
