Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Dearborn, MI is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (Ophthalmic Technician) for Tukel Eye Center. The role supports ophthalmologists with patient testing, exam preparation, and accurate EMR documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and experience in ophthalmology; COA/COT is preferred. Hours are Monday–Friday, with travel to nearby offices as needed. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401k, PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training.
• COA/COT certification preferred.
• Proficient in EMR systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and support clinic flow.
• Assist ophthalmologist during visits and testing.
• Perform diagnostic tests (visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor, topography).
• Record data in EMR and maintain patient records.
• Prepare patients for treatments and measure vital signs.
• Maintain rooms stocked and clean.
