EyeCare Partners in Southgate, MI is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician (Medical Assistant) with training provided. You will assist ophthalmologists, monitor vital signs, maintain sterile technique, and help manage equipment to ensure high-quality patient care.

This full-time role (30 hours per week) offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth. No late nights, weekends, or on-call shifts, with occasional early or late adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum required: One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Credential preference: COA or COT certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring vital signs and transporting patients.
• Maintains aseptic technique at all times.
• Observes for any break in technique and takes corrective action.
• Assists in stocking OR supplies and maintains inventory.
• Checks equipment and documents on the daily log.
• Performs pre-op assessment and post-op instructions review with patient.
