Tukel Eye Center is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our on-site team in Dearborn, MI. The role involves assisting ophthalmologists, performing initial testing (e.g., visual fields, OCT), and documenting in EMR to prepare patients for exams during visits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Ophthalmology experience is preferred
• Favorable result on Background Check
• Basic computer skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Excitement to learn and grow

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient service during encounters (in person or via phone)
• Greet patients professionally and show appreciation as they leave
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow
• Record patient information and medical history in EMR
• Perform initial testing and document results for ophthalmic exams
• Assist with routine procedures and maintain exam rooms
