Job summary

Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers in Crestwood, KY is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists with patient testing and flow during visits. You will assist with preliminary testing, verify insurances, and communicate with patients and staff to keep schedules efficient.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a desire to learn. Prior COA/COT is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training or equivalent
• COA/COT certification preferred but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook)
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow.
• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
