Job summary

AVP SEES Group is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician II to support ophthalmologists and optometrists in direct patient care. The role includes on-site training, paid certifications, and opportunities for advancement across multiple offices in the Southeast and Mid- Atlantic region.

Responsibilities include documenting patient history, performing refractions and acuity tests, and assisting with pre-operative preparation while maintaining EMR data and equipment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years ophthalmic technician experience preferred.
• COA preferred.
• Must have dependable transportation to travel to other offices.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history
• Follow office workup protocols
• Determine visual acuity
• Perform automated and manual refraction for diagnostic purposes
• Pupillary assessment
• Visual field testing
• Basic ocular motility assessment
• Ophthalmic imaging including OCT and topography
• Administer eye drops and manage basic office duties in EMR
