Job summary

Atlantic Vision Partners seeks an Ophthalmic Technician I to work closely with our ophthalmologists and optometrists, delivering high-quality direct patient care across our network. The role includes taking patient history, performing refractions, measuring visual acuity and intraocular pressure, administering eye drops, entering data into EMR, and supporting pre-operative prep.

On-site training and paid certifications are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in eye care preferred.
• Associates degree preferred for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Follow office workup protocols.
• Determine visual acuity.
• Perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions per physician orders.
• Enter data into EMR and provide patient services.
• Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry).
• Pre-operative patient preparation.
• Maintain equipment and instruments.
