Harborview Eye Institute in Seattle has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-time Ophthalmic Technician II on the Day Shift.

You will assist with complex clinical diagnostic eye examinations and imaging, perform routine ophthalmic tests, and support the ophthalmology team to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

Completion of an approved ophthalmic technician program and one year of experience.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

Assist/and or perform complex clinical diagnostic eye examinations and procedures as delegated by the optometry, ophthalmology and acute eye care team.
Complete all ophthalmic imaging tests as ordered by the physicians such as Amsler tests; Stereo tests, Applanation tonometry, Goldman visual field.
Perform complex clinical diagnostic eye imaging and procedures within the scope of certification; patient intake activities, routine technical procedures, administer topical medications, assist with procedures.
Demonstrate proactive, professional communication across and within the department to facilitate smooth workflow, and to ensure department is positively represented throughout the organization.
