Job summary

AVPSEES Group in the Southeast/Mid-Atlantic region seeks an Ophthalmic Technician I to work closely with ophthalmologists and optometrists, delivering high-quality direct patient care. On-site training and paid certifications support ongoing growth.

You will obtain patient history, follow workup protocols, determine visual acuity, perform automated refraction, and assist with pre-operative procedures while maintaining equipment and EMR data entry. Travel between offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in eye care preferred.
• Ability to travel to other offices.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Follow office workup protocols.
• Determine visual acuity.
• Perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions.
• Enter data into EMR and provide patient services.
• Measurement of intraocular pressure (tonometry).
• Pre-operative preparation of patient.
• Maintain equipment and instruments.
