Job summary

Delaware Eye Institute is seeking an enthusiastic Ophthalmic Technician for our Rehoboth Beach, DE office. Great hours, robust benefits, and a collaborative team environment await you.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of ophthalmic or medical back-office experience and is ready to train in a specialty practice. Responsibilities include patient prep, exams, medication administration, and assisting with minor procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or other COA/OSC/COT credentials preferred.
• Two years of multi-specialty clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient to see Ophthalmologist/Optometrist and conduct preliminary exam.
• Capture medical history and perform basic vision screening.
• Administer eye medications and maintain ophthalmic instruments.
• Assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures.
• Travel to other locations as needed.
