Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and clear communication with patients, staff, and doctors.
• Basic computer literacy required for charting and scheduling.
• Must be energetic with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to travel to other offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and establish rapport at check-in.
• Document chief complaints and history accurately per guidelines.
• Conduct pre-exam testing and assist ophthalmologists during visits.
• Support with lenses fitting and patient education on care.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain ophthalmic instruments.
• Assist with minor procedures or laser treatments as needed.
• Open/close exam lanes and ensure equipment is clean and ready.
• Maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
• Ensure confidential handling of patient information.
• Travel to other locations to support clinical needs.
