Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients, staff, managers, and doctors.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Highly energetic with a positive attitude.
• Willing to travel to other offices occasionally to meet business demands.

Responsibilities

• Make introductions and establish rapport with patients.
• Initiate patient evaluation, document chief complaint and ocular findings per guidelines.
• Perform pre-exam testing: visual acuity, pinhole, glare testing, visual fields, and ocular assessments.
• Perform lensometry and specialized testing such as OCT, keratometry, and imaging.
• Assist with minor surgical procedures or laser treatments.
• Assist with fitting contact lenses and patient education on care and insertion.
