Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Ophthalmic Medical Technology preferred.
• BLS required; COT certification preferred.
• Experience with ophthalmology exams and high patient volume recommended.

Responsibilities

• Enable clinic operations by managing patient flow in/out of exam rooms.
• Retrieve and collate patient information for provider.
• Clean and stock exam rooms, instruments, and equipment; prepare patients for exams.
• Obtain visual acuity, color vision, stereo vision, and other tests as directed.
• Pull patient contact lens records for optometrist review.
• Document pertinent patient information in medical records per guidelines.
• Ensure referrals and pre-authorizations are initiated and obtained.
