Job summary

Responsibilities include vitals collection, ophthalmic testing, EMR documentation, room preparation, instrument sterilization, and infection-control adherence to ensure efficient patient flow in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and patient history under supervision.
• Document medical/ocular history in EMR.
• Perform ophthalmic tests (Visual Acuity, Lensometry, Tonometry, OCT, etc.).
• Prepare and stock exam rooms, laser rooms, and minor procedure areas.
• Sterilize, package, and maintain ophthalmic instruments/equipment.
• Report malfunctions and perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Uphold infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Transport patients within clinical areas as needed.
• Assist with admin/clinical duties to optimize patient flow.
