Job summary

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to deliver high-quality eye care and support doctors with exams and patient flow. You will perform testing (OCT, biometry, topography) and help manage records in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a High School diploma and 1+ year of customer service, with strong communication and the ability to use exam software and ophthalmic equipment. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with exam software, POS systems and ophthalmic equipment.
• JCAHPO certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, managing patient records.
• Performs preliminary evaluations including patient histories and measurements.
• Performs testing such as OCT, biometry, topography and retinal imaging.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant records and scheduling.
• Keeps equipment and exam lanes disinfected and ready.
• Works weekends and evenings as needed.
