Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations and prepare patients for examination.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; identify special needs.
• Handle and file all patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
• Support retention and follow-up calls and patient communications.
• Place contact lens trial orders and maintain contact lens room.
• Input prescription and patient data into the CIAO system with accuracy.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all staff and patients.
• Support merchandising in exam lanes, assessment room and contact lens area.
