Job summary

BoozmanHof Regional Eye Clinic is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support doctors during exams and procedures in Bella Vista or Rogers, Arkansas. No prior experience required; training provided to qualified candidates.

You will perform preliminary tests, manage patient histories, educate patients on eye health, and help with clinic operations. This is a full-time, in-person position with standard hours, a criminal check and drug test after offer.

• Assist doctors during examinations by preparing instruments.
• Perform preliminary tests: visual acuity, intraocular pressure, pupil reactions, etc.
• Record patient medical histories and vital signs.
• Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and post-operative care.
• Handle phone calls, patient triage, and administrative tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations.

Duties

• Assist doctors during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and equipment.
• Perform preliminary tests, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and pupil reactions. Includes visual fields, OCT, IOM, biometry, pachymetry, refraction, and more.
• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
• Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and post-operative care.
• Handle phone calls, patient triage, and administrative tasks to assist the provider.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations.

Job Details

Full time hours (35-40 hours per week)

Work Location: In person

Approximate work days/hours: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

A criminal check and drug test will be conducted after a conditional job offer
