BoozmanHof Regional Eye Clinic in Rogers, AR is seeking a warm, motivated Optician to assist patients in selecting eyewear, fitting frames, and supporting follow-up care with our doctors.

Qualifications

• Experience as an optician.
• ABO-NCLE certification is desired but not required initially; non-certified opticians are expected to become certified after hire.
• Verbal and written English/Spanish translation is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing, fitting and adjusting eyewear to patient satisfaction and promoting frame/add-on selections.
• Performing minor frame repairs.
• Using manual and automatic lensometers.
• Collaborating with Optometrists for follow-up care; accurate data entry into EMR.
• Optical billing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

We are seeking a warm, welcoming, and motivated Optician to join our team. This role involves assisting patients and customers with finding the best eye wear for their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispensing, fitting and adjusting eye wear to patient satisfaction while also promoting proper frame and add-on selections for different clients.
• Performing minor frame repairs.
• Utilizing manual and automatic lensometers.
• Work closely with Optometrists in the follow-up of patients wearing glasses and contact lenses. Accurate and efficient data entry into electronic medical health records is required.
• Optical billing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Applicant Qualifications

• Experience as an optician is preferred. Registered dispensing optician license holders preferred.
• ABO-NCLE certification is desired but not required initially. Non certified opticians are expected to become certified after hire.
• Verbal and written English/Spanish translation is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and tactful during stressful situations.
