Job summary

BoozmanHof Regional Eye Clinic is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician. We are willing to train the right person; no experience is required. Join a long‑standing Northwest Arkansas eye care practice that values patient care and teamwork.

Full-time, in-person position, typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. A criminal check and drug test occur after a conditional offer; on-the-job training and comprehensive benefits are provided to support your growth in eye care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical office practices and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with medications and ocular disease processes.
• Commitment to excellence in patient care and relations.
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and equipment.
• Perform preliminary tests: measure visual acuity, intraocular pressure, pupil reactions; include visual fields, OCT, IOM, biometry, pachymetry, refraction, and more.
• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
• Educate patients on eye health, treatment options and post-operative care.
• Handle phone calls, patient triage, and administrative tasks to assist the provider.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations.
