Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Louisville, KY is seeking a part-time Ophthalmic Technician (Medical Assistant) to support ophthalmologists and optometrists. Training provided – no medical/eyecare experience required. The role includes assisting with preliminary testing, confirming patient information, and communicating with patients and staff.

Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged. Shifts fall within Monday–Friday hours 7am–7pm, with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training or equivalent education.
• COA/COT certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify patient information and insurance details.
• Communicate with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person requests.
• Maintain patient EMR records with accuracy.
