Job summary

Retina Specialists of Ohio/Corrective Eye is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists in Willoughby Hills, OH. The role involves patient testing, data entry into EMR, vital signs, and assisting with procedures across multiple locations including Mayfield Heights, Parma, Independence, and Streetsboro.

Responsibilities include patient greeting, managing patient flow, HIPAA adherence, and accurate documentation. Travel between sites is required; mileage is reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum Required: One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current COA or COT certification is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and facilitate the flow of the clinic.
• Perform initial testing and prepare patients for exams with the Ophthalmologist.
• Record data in the patient EMR and maintain accurate patient information.
• Take vital signs and assist with treatments and minor procedures.
• Open/close exam rooms and maintain stocked, clean treatment areas.
