Job summary

Sightpath Medical is seeking a Surgical Technologist III to join our ophthalmic team in the Mills River/Asheville area. This on-site role blends operating room support with dedicated inventory management, offering autonomy and growth in a fast-paced surgical environment.

You will scrub into ophthalmic procedures as needed, manage off-site inventory, coordinate supplies, and collaborate with surgeons and ASC staff to ensure smooth case flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or certification eligible.
• Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing inventory or supplies.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable using company-issued iPhone and iPad.

Responsibilities

• Manage ophthalmic inventory and supplies stored at an off-site inventory location.
• Perform inventory counts, ordering, receiving, stock rotation, and replenishment to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Transport inventory and supplies between the storage location and ASC using a company-provided vehicle.
• Assist with operating room turnover alongside facility surgical staff to ensure efficient case flow.
• Prepare surgical equipment and supplies for ophthalmic procedures.
• Scrub into ophthalmic procedures as needed to support the surgical team, with opportunities for additional ophthalmology training.
• Collaborate with surgeons, ASC staff, and Sightpath teammates to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional patient care.
