Job summary

McFarland Eye Care is seeking a dedicated surgical scrubs tech to support our busy operating room. You will prepare the OR, ensure sterile technique, and anticipate the surgeon's needs during procedures.

This role offers weekday hours, no nights or weekends, paid holidays, health and dental benefits, PTO, 401(k), and employee discounts on eyewear and procedures. Ideal candidates have high school diploma and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 6 months of surgical scrub tech experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgery following established protocols and sterile technique.
• Ensure adequate supplies are available for the procedure.
• Turn on and check equipment and ensure it is ready for surgery.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, medications/solutions.
• Assist Circulator with equipment preparation and draping.
• Maintain sterile field and assist surgeon during the procedure.
• Proofread surgery charts and review for accuracy.
• Conduct daily environmental checks and dispose of materials appropriately.
