Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners in Maryland seeks a detail-oriented Ophthalmic Scribe to support patient visits and clinical workflow. You will document chief complaints, histories, and ocular findings with accuracy and in compliance guidelines, assisting physicians and nurses.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience (pharmacy tech, medical assistant, or ophthalmic exposure) and strong MS Office skills. Ophthalmic experience is highly desirable and prior scribe work is a plus.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented healthcare support experience preferred.
• Experience documenting medical visits and procedures is helpful.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to follow compliance guidelines.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and establish rapport, document chief complaints and ocular findings accurately.
• Record visits and procedures in real time for physician review.
• Prepare referral letters and coordinate communication with physicians.
• Explain test procedures and educate patients on risks/benefits.
• Provide patient education on medications and pre/post-operative instructions.
• Follow all safety procedures and clinical guidelines.
