Job summary

International Eye Associates is seeking dedicated Ophthalmic Scribes to support physicians in a fast-paced clinical setting. No experience required; training will be provided.

The position requires traveling between clinics to assist with patient flow, document encounters, and ensure accurate charting while maintaining HIPAA standards. A 90-day probationary period applies before benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Experience in ophthalmology practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support physicians to increase clinic efficiency and productivity.

We are looking for dedicated Ophthalmic Scribes for our rapidly growing practice! No experience necessary – Willing to train the right person!

Job Summary:

The role of an Ophthalmic Scribe will increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician in the clinic setting. The scribe must be able to anticipate physician needs, communicate clearly to patients and staff members, and effectively multi-task in order to facilitate clinic flow.

• Due to the nature of the business, this position will be required to travel to multiple locations, based on clinic needs.

After successful completion of a 90-day probationary period, Full Time employees will be eligible for the following benefits:

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (preferably ophthalmology)
• Must be proficient using desktop applications and be able to type at 40 WPM or greater
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Comply with HIPPA confidentiality standards when accessing or communicating patient information

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (specifically keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling up to 10 pounds.
• Travel to other offices, including Surgery Center, as needed

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience in a medical practice or hospital setting preferred
