Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Scribe to join our Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex clinic. You will document physician notes in the EMR, assist during patient exams, and transcribe histories, plans, and test results.

Training is available. The role requires strong communication, EMR proficiency, and meticulous attention to detail as you support doctors with measurements, procedures, and patient care in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting.

Qualifications

• One year of ophthalmic scribe/technician experience in ophthalmology setting (or equivalent related ability) preferred.
• COT or COA certification and Ophthalmology knowledge or Medical/Ophthalmic Scribe experience desired.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in EMR and computer literacy.
• Well organized and attentive to detail.

Responsabilités

• Document physician documentation in EMR.
• Medically assist the doctor through the patient examination.
• Transcribe the history, examination, impression, plan, results of tests, prescriptions, and orders.
• E-prescribe medications in EMR.
• Measure pupil size and reactivity.
• Corneal topography.
• Fundus photos.
• Retinal nerve fiber layer measurement.
• Retinal thickness and topography.
• Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures and triage phone calls.
• Prepare examination rooms to provide all needed medications, forms, educational materials, etc.
• Coordinate surgical needs with the surgical counselors.
• Coordinate with check-in and check-out staff regarding patients.
• Create and provide a positive, accountable, and inspired work environment.
