Job summary

Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas in Southlake, TX seeks a dedicated Ophthalmic Scribe to support physician documentation and patient care. We are willing to train and offer the chance to grow in a full-time clinical role within a premier ophthalmology practice.

The position emphasizes accurate EMR transcription, assisting during examinations, and coordinating with surgical staff. Qualifications include ophthalmic scribe experience and EMR literacy; COA/COT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• One year of ophthalmic scribe/technician experience in ophthalmology
• COT or COA certification and ophthalmology knowledge preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in EMR and computer literacy

Responsibilities

• Document physician documentation in EMR
• Assist doctor during patient examination
• Transcribe history, exam impressions, plans and prescriptions
• E-prescribe medications in EMR
• Prepare examination rooms and assist with in-office procedures
• Coordinate surgical needs with counselors and staff
