Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute is seeking an RN for Surgery in the Ophthalmology OR. The role involves pre-, intra-, and post-operative duties, circulating and scrubbing, and working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Training includes a six-month OR program with opportunities to cross-train in additional surgical specialties. This is a part-time, days-only position with call rotation for weekends and after hours.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN required.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• One year RN experience or completion of perioperative residency program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery and assist during procedures.
• Provide post-operative care and education to patients.
• Rotate through pre-, intra-, and post-operative stages with training in circulating and scrubbing roles.
• Maintain high standards of patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Support ophthalmology services using OR training and cross-training opportunities.
