Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute in Cleveland is a world-class eye center offering the latest prevention, diagnostics and treatment options. The RN in Surgery role supports ophthalmology services across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases with training in circulating and scrubbing.

The environment is fast-paced, collaborative and patient-focused. You will participate in a comprehensive OR training program of about six months and may cross-train into ENT and Plastics.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• One year RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency.
• ACLS Certification within six months of hire if performing moderate/procedural sedation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating functions.
• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
