Job summary

Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH seeks a PRN RN in Surgery at the Cole Eye Institute to support ophthalmology services across the full continuum of care for eye surgeries and procedures.

The role is high-volume and fast-paced, requiring strong clinical skills. Per Diem schedule; day shift; pay is $43.00/hour. Eligible for comprehensive OR training program approximately six months.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN) required.
• One year of RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program required.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred if performing moderate/procedural sedation.

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating functions.
• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.
• Rotate through pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative phases.

Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required.

Experience

• One year of RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program required.
• Prior experience as a circulating nurse or in a perioperative setting preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred if performing moderate/procedural sedation.
