Job summary

Penn Medicine in Philadelphia is seeking an Ophthalmic Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to support the Ophth Clinical Support team. Under supervision, you will perform and coordinate eye imaging tests to aid physicians in documentation, diagnosis, tracking and treatment of eye conditions.

The role is per diem, department-driven, focusing on strong patient care, attention to detail and teamwork. Training and development opportunities are available within Penn Medicine.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Photographic Science, Imaging, Life Sciences or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years ophthalmic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate a variety of ophthalmic imaging tests.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment and ensure patient safety.
• Document procedures and results in the EMR and communicate with clinicians.
