Job summary

Philadelphia Eye Associates in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our on-site team. You will perform clinical tasks including patient histories, visual acuity, and diagnostic testing, and prepare patients for examination by the ophthalmologist.

Daily duties include assisting with optometry and ophthalmology procedures, conducting OCT and HVF imaging, documenting findings in the electronic health record, and educating patients about eye conditions and follow-up

Qualifications

  • Experience assisting with OCT, HVF and ophthalmic imaging procedures.
  • Accurate medical documentation in an EHR.
  • Strong communication with patients and staff.
  • Experience as Ophthalmic Technician preferred; COA/COT certification is a plus.
  • On-site full-time availability in Philadelphia sites.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient histories and measure visual acuity.
  • Perform diagnostic testing and assist with ophthalmology procedures.
  • Conduct OCT, HVF imaging and document findings in the EHR.
  • Educate patients on eye conditions and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure efficient care.
