Job summary

Visionworks of America, Inc. is looking for a full-time Optical Associate in the Village of Nyack to assist customers with their frame selections and provide accurate prescription information. The ideal candidate will help in the fitting and dispensing of optical products while maintaining a clean workspace.

The pay rate ranges from $20 to $30 per hour based on experience and includes opportunities for additional benefits. A high school diploma and a valid Apprentice permit are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a current New York or Massachusetts Apprentice permit to practice.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist each customer in frame and lens selection.
• Provide accurate product information regarding frames and lenses.
• Analyze and interpret patients’ prescriptions.
