VisionWorks is hiring an optician assistant to help customers choose frames and lenses, interpret prescriptions, and explain insurance benefits. You will assist with frame fitting, pricing accuracy, and coordination with labs and optometrists.

The role requires a NY/MA apprentice permit and may start with a base hourly rate, with opportunities for incentive pay based on performance. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New York or Massachusetts Apprentice permit to practice must be current.

Responsabilités

• Assist customers in frame and lens selection.
• Provide accurate product information on frames, lens selections and services.
• Explain insurance benefits and options to customers and discuss extras and any charges not covered by insurance.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames and accessories.
• Maintain a clean dispensing area and ensure accurate patient pricing.
• Communicate with lab and optometrist to ensure prescription accuracy.
