Job summary

Eyehealth-Northwest- is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician Level I/II to support diagnostic testing and patient care. You will open exam rooms, assist with patient flow, and perform visual acuity, visual fields, and OCT testing with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities include chart reviews, CPT/ICD coding accuracy, equipment maintenance, and patient education. The role requires teamwork, flexibility to rotate to sites, and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ocular diseases and systemic diseases affecting the eye.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and CPT/ICD coding.

Responsibilities

• Open and prepare testing rooms for the day.
• Test ocular functions including visual acuity and visual fields.
• Perform visual field testing with Goldmann and Humphrey analyzers.
• Perform OCT and measurements of nerve fiber layer.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Document correctly in testing templates with proper DX codes.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families about tests and procedures.
• Support team and adhere to HIPAA and safety requirements.
