Job summary

BoozmanHof Regional Eye Clinic in Northwest Arkansas is seeking an experienced Clinical Trainer to lead onboarding and ongoing clinical training for ophthalmic technicians. This role serves as the primary mentor, delivering standardized education, assessing performance, and coordinating competency programs.

The position splits roughly 50% training duties and 50% in-clinic technician work, with supervision from the Director of Clinical Operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of ophthalmic technician experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and mentor others.
• Candidates without certification may be considered if they commit to obtain certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding for all new clinical hires and serve as primary mentor.
• Develop and maintain standardized clinical education and competency programs.
• Assess performance, identify skill gaps, and provide coaching and advanced training.
• Create training materials and competency records.
• Manage clinical staffing schedules and coordinate workflows.
