Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: COA and/or COT; BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a related role.
• Knowledge of business and management principles.
• Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
• Ability to plan, delegate and supervise the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day direction to ophthalmic technicians, patient coordinators, and staff.
• Adjust weekly schedules based on patient flow and staffing.
• Respond to clinical and patient demands to maintain efficiency.
• Mentor staff and identify training needs.
• Coordinate with physicians to determine staffing needs.
• Ensure daily operations meet standards of care and university policies.
