Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to join our patient care team. The role involves assisting providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented tasks and related administrative duties. On-the-job training is available to build a career path in ophthalmic support.

Responsibilities include taking medical histories, performing eye tests, using ophthalmic instruments, and coordinating inventory. Willingness to travel from Clarks Summit to Scranton is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and verify information
• Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy
• Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
• Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient\'s visual acuity and other vision issues
• Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam
• Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications
• Assist with inventory management
• Traveling to Scranton from Clarks Summit is a MUST
